ECVD update

The ECVD (European College of Veterinary Dermatology) and the ESVD (European Society of Veterinary Dermatology) held their annual Congress during September in Krakow, Poland. More than 800 participants attended the Congress with three streams of dermatology being presented including advanced continuing education, a scientific program and short communications/ISVD sessions.

The ECVD Annual General meeting was held on Saturday 26 September, 2015 during the Congress.. Six new Diplomates of the College were welcomed subsequent to their success in passing the Diplomate examination in July 2015. The successful recipients are Drs Frane Banovic, Stefano Borio, Oscar Fantini, Elisa Maina, Ivan Ravera and Anja Rothing. The ECVD is now composed of 120 Diplomates from 23 different countries and has education, credential and examination committees within the organisation. There are 29 approved ECVD residency programmes (15 in Universities, 9 in private practices) The next scheduled ECVD/ESVD Congresses are: Bordeaux (WCVD 8) in 2016 and Lausanne Switzerland in 2017.
