Member Organizations

The AAVD was founded in 1964 in order to further scientific progress in veterinary and comparative dermatology. The mission of the AAVD is to promote the field of veterinary dermatology, in education, research and professional veterinary practice.

The ACVD is the official specialty organisation accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association in 1982 and charged with maintenance of high standards of postgraduate training in veterinary dermatology.

The AiSVD is a veterinary dermatology group established in 2003 and currently has members from South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Phillipines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, India and Japan.

Founded in 1986, the Canadian Academy of Veterinary Dermatology (CAVD) promotes the advancement of Veterinary Dermatology with a singular united voice in Canada.
WHO WE ARE
A team of animal health professionals devoting a part of their professional activity to the practice, scientific research or teaching of the growing specialty of Veterinary Dermatology. We are dedicated to making our specialty more present in, and better known to Canadian society and the veterinary community at-large.

The Dermatology Chapter of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (DCANZCVS) was founded in 2002. The Chapter aims to promote excellence in dermatology of all animal species.

ECVD is a veterinary specialty organisation which was established in 1991 by members of the European Society of Veterinary Dermatology (ESVD) and was accredited in 1996 by the European Veterinary Specialisation Board (EBVS).

The ESVD represents a broad range and diversity of veterinarians with a global membership base. Its primary objective is to promote veterinary dermatology in all animal species, in both clinical and non-clinical fields; to improve standards of diagnosis and treatment in veterinary dermatology and to encourage the exchange of information and to contribute to the research and teaching of veterinary dermatology at post-graduate level in Europe. Membership is open to all veterinarians who are interested in veterinary dermatology.
